Brutes Cider

Brutes explores the boundaries of what can be done with Swedish fruit, taking inspiration from the many abandoned orchards around Stockholm. As they seek to blur the lines between wine and cider, Brutes are bottling a wild-fermented taste of Sweden.

Why We Love Brutes Cider

We helped them with production for their first bottling in 2018 and have been big fans ever since. They think of themselves as winemakers, but with apples.

A reverence for found and forgotten fruit

As much as they'd like to make wine, they do what they can with what they have. And what they have is access to orchards and fruit around Stockholm – not only countless apple trees, but also plums, quince, berries and more.

A modern approach to flavor and production

With a reverence for natural winemaking and a desire to make bottles that are fun and easy to drink, Brutes uses long and varied macerations to coax out structures, flavors and combinations of its Scandinavian fruits that are both complex and inviting.

No bullshit. Just fruit.

Wild fermented fruit pét-nats and ciders out of Stockholm.
